So who is Funmi Daniel and what do I do?
Well, I’ve always been interested in fashion, writing and the creative fields.
After studying Business Marketing as an undergrad, I began my career in London in fashion retail.
Working in head office positions within Arcadia and the Florence & Fred clothing brand, I relocated to Nigeria for 10 years after being offered a fantastic opportunity.
Whilst in Lagos I adopted the side-hustle mindset that is like a rite of passage in Nigeria. I helped a variety of businesses in the retail and media space build their brands and even made a number of TV appearances!
Fast forward a few years. I was working for Jumia, Africa’s answer to Amazon, and Funmi Daniel the consultancy was born.
Working with both start-ups and small businesses, I realised I really enjoyed helping a founders vison come to life. Most importantly, I discovered, that having a broad and varied career history was a huge advantage. It meant I was able to offer companies I worked with a wealth of knowledge they’d ordinarily have to get from a number of full-time staff.
Now based back in London, I still work with brands in Africa as well as in the UK.
Working on projects or as a flexible team member my services are tailored to the needs of the business. My marketing consultancy works with a variety of brands, not just those in the fashion and lifestyle industries. I’m open to discuss whatever project you need help with and provide your business with the marketing function it needs.
Simply, put, “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in work.”
To be impactful and leave an indelible mark on the businesses I work with.
To always perform to the best of my ability; the company’s success is my success.
